Allie Klenke, CIT

Allie Klenke is a master’s-level Clinical Counseling student completing her practicum as part of her graduate training. She is interested in working with individuals navigating trauma, recovery, identity, disability and chronic illness, as well as the intersection of mental health and spirituality. Allie has a particular heart for those who have experienced spiritual trauma or church hurt and wants counseling to be a safe place to explore those experiences and their impact on life, relationships, and faith.

With experience in ministry and recovery-focused group leadership, Allie believes strongly in meeting people where they are. She sees counseling as a place where people can show up as their whole selves—not simply as a diagnosis, struggle, or difficult season. Her goal is to create a safe, collaborative, and sometimes even laughter-filled space where clients can better understand themselves, recognize their strengths, develop practical skills, and move toward meaningful change.

As a Christian she is comfortable incorporating faith into counseling when it is important to the client. She also welcomes individuals from different beliefs, backgrounds, identities, and life experiences and believes each person should decide what role, if any, spirituality has in their counseling journey.

Outside of her professional and academic work, Allie enjoys spending time with her husband and their fur-babies: two large dogs, Abe and Eddie, and three cats, Genesis, Maple, and Mr. Mistoffelees. She is passionate about serving in her church and community, exploring the outdoors, and finding creative ways to make life—and counseling—a little more accessible.
